Manhunt on for night club attack that claimed life

Molepolole police are still looking for a suspected killer of the 25-year-old Mogogoru man in the early hours of Saturday (February 3).

The deceased was allegedly murdered near Ozone Club by unknown assailant reported to be still on the run.

Assistant Superintendent Salome Segale said the victim was stabbed with a sharp instrument in the early hours after a night outing.

Efforts to rush him to Scottish Livingstone Hospital did not bear fruit as he was certified dead upon arrival.

In a related incident, Assistant Supt. Segale further said a lifeless body of a 51-year-old man of Ntlolengwae ward in Molepolole was discovered Saturday evening.

She explained that the man was allegedly spotted by a passerby who immediately raised an alarm and was rushed to the hospital.

She said although preliminary investigations did not raise any suspicions since there were no visible injuries, they did not rule out possibility of foul play.

Meanwhile, Sojwe Police Superintendent Joubert Kome confirmed the death of 53-year-old man of Daujenaa farm in CKGR suspected to have been murdered by a 23-year-old man from the same area.

The two allegedly had a misunderstanding over a woman suspected to be the girlfriend resulting in a fight that led to the stabbing of the deceased during a drinking spree.

The 23-year-old suspect was apprehended by Sojwe Police and he will soon be arraigned to answer for charges of murder. ENDS
