Rangers, Modipane share spoils

Tsabong based first division outfit, Rangers, played to a 1-1 draw with Modipane United at Tsabong recently.

The game, which was played under favourable weather conditions and a large crowd of local fans, was full of action in the middle of the park.

It was the visitors who broke the deadlock after the Rangers defence was caught napping.

Thabiso Moeng of Modipane United made no mistake as he tapped the ball into the empty net.

Rangers, who dominated the game, continued with their attacking play and they were rewarded for their hard work late in the second half when their top marksman, Isiah Tika found the back of the net after a lapse in concentration by the visitors defence which he put under pressure.

In a post-match interview, Rangers coach, Duncan Tshegofatso complained about the lack of tactical discipline by his team, especially when on the offensive.

He pointed out that his boys need to work as a unit at all times to ensure that their opponents do not have room for counter attacks, as was the case when they conceded their goal.

Tshegofatso also lamented that his strikers have a fear of taking responsibility although they were always drilled on how to score.

He said they should have bagged all the three points in the first 20 minutes of the game, but said he was still optimistic that his boys would get their scoring boots on soon.

The hosts came into the encounter having lost to Letlapeng in a game which they should have easily won if it was not for their failure to bury clear cut chances.

For his part the coach of Modipane United, Wire Kaelo said he was not happy with the results because his boys were not up to the task.

He however pointed out that he was confident that his boys would work hard to ensure that they get positive results. ENDS
