Crystal Academy grills secretaries

Senior secretaries from different departments recently attended a three day public relations training which was facilitated by Crystal Academy of Management.

Managing director for Crystal Academy of Management, Mr Goodwill Motlhabane explained that the institution was a hundred percent citizen owned school specializing in customer service and public relations since 2008.

“In today’s fast paced and ever changing world, communication technology is increasing so is the speed to access information and organisations need to be prepared to handle public relations and corporate communication. This training is intended for senior and executive secretaries as well as communication specialists and marketing officers as they are the reputation ambassadors of their organisation,” Mr Motlhabane said.

He added that the programme was intended to re-energise, refocus and gain fresh perspectives on the career priorities and goals and to enable participants to understand the link between public contact, personal brand and organisational image.

Mr Motlhabane said he considered the training as a retreat for secretaries as they were seen as the face of organisations and the training was focused on drilling them on issues that would enable them to represent their organisations.

During the awarding of certificates, Chobe deputy council secretary, Mr Atlamelang Bopadile said he expected participants to change their behaviour towards every situation and also bring change in their offices using what they learnt from the workshop.

One of the participants , Mr Mmoloki Mmopi, a senior public relation officer for Borolong Land Board said the training was another way to re-visiting what he learnt at school and would help him fill in the gaps at his organisation and even improve things like annual performances.

Another participant , Ms Monde Samunzala expressed her gratitude towards Crystal Academy of Management for helping them work towards improving their organisation’s reputation and promised to share knowledge with others.Ends
