Ghanzi FNBB gives ward new look

First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) staff in Ghanzi recently repainted the Ghanzi Primary hospital children’s ward as part of their volunteer exercise.

Branch manager, Mr Lekono Koketso said they decided to paint the children’ ward as they believed that art could heal. The ward was given a fresh look with art works of kiddies’ mascots, colourful shades of blue, pink to make it as child friendly as possible. Mr Koketso said the bright colours and pictures were meant to bring light and life to the children and to help them  them relax.

On behalf of the hospital, Ms Dineo Motlhabai expressed gratitude to the Ghanzi FNBB branch staff for their  initiative. She was hopeful that the relationship between the bank and the hospital would continue.

The initiative was part of a series of projects undertaken by the bank as it celebrated its 21st anniversary across the country. In Ghanzi the bank had already built a house in Grootlaagte settlement.“We are committed to giving more to the community of Ghanzi as we continue to grow as a bank,” stated Mr Koketso.
