Nico humiliate Notwane

A hatrick by Topo Piet, a brace by Bonolo Fraiser and a solo goal by Emmanuel Thakadu of Nico United humiliated Notwane in a be Mobile league encounter played in Molepolole on Tuesday.

After the game, a distraught Notwane coach, Christopher Rabalago said the team’s poor management is killing players morale.

He said this contributes to the poor performance of the team because players are unhappy with issues such as upaid allowances.

“We are a disorganised team and players’ morale is low, that is why they are not performing to expectation and I do not blame them, the problem is that the team is not taking care of the players,” he said.

Rabalago said some players have even lost respect of the technical team because they always promise them that things will be sorted out, but it never happens.

He said since the departure of former coach, Clever Hunda the teams budget has been cut by almost P20 000, affecting the allowances and general upkeep of players in the process, and forcing the technical team to even prepare meals for the players. He said he has been left alone to push players to get results for the team.

Frazer opened the score in the fifth minute. In the second half, Nico United were all over Notwane’s defence forcing them to commit errors.

This led to Itireleng Oagile being red carded for serious foul play, and this opened the floodgates as Piet and Fraiser scored three quick goals.

In the 35th and 45th minutes, Thakadu and Piet respectively beat offside traps to stretch their lead to 6-0.

Notwane, who today face Township Rollers in Molepolole, were in the dying minutes forced to play with eight players after their goalkeeper, Siamang Kgosipula and defender, Thulani Moyo were rushed to hospital after colliding trying to block a Nico attack. ENDS
