City of Francistown Council exists to provide quality social services and physical infrastructure through implementation of government policies and programmes. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Botswana Citizens for the below mentioned post tenable in City of Francistown Council.




SALARY:                      D2 (P291 108– P321 012) per annum


QUALIFICATION:       Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or                                                      related field.


REGISTRATION: Applicants should have a Professional Practicing       

                                     Certificate obtained from Engineers Registration

                                     Board (ERB)



EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of seven (7) years related work experience as a Structural Engineer equivalent in Government, Parastatal or private organization.                 

LEAVE:                                  30 Working days per annum



BENEFITS:      Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government   pays 50% and employee pays 50%) Contributory Pension Scheme (Government pays 15%, employee pays 5%)



MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

To supervise the development and implementation of structural engineering designs.



•          Supervises and guides subordinates in accordance with set standards.

•          Manages, directs and supervises the Structural Engineering Division.

•          Liaises with other professionals in the development of comprehensive designs for building projects.

•          Coordinates the preparation of structural designs and drawings for the construction of buildings to ensure that all structural components are taken on board.

•          Provides professional advice with regard to structural works.

•          Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management.
