City of Francistown Council exists to provide quality social services and physical infrastructure through implementation of government policies and programmes. POST:                         PRINCIPAL HOUSING OFFICER I (DEV)

 

 

SALARY:                            D2 (P291 108– P321 012) per annum

 

QUALIFICATION:    Degree in Housing Management and Development or related field.

 

EXPERIENCE:      At least 10 years of relevant work experience as a Housing officer in a Government, Parastatal or Private Organization.

 

LEAVE:                      30 working days per annum

 

BENEFITS:               Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% and employee pays 50%). Contributory Pension Scheme (Government pays 15% employee pays 5%)

 

DUTIES:

 

Ø Plans and coordinates the functions of the Housing division.

 

Ø Coordinates and supervises the implementation of Self Help Housing programme to ensure compliance with policies and related legislation/Acts.

 

Ø Assesses housing community needs and develops self-help interventions to address the needs.

 

Ø Provides professional advice to Council and key stakeholders on self-help housing matters.

 

Ø Facilitates the provision of services to SHHA plots as per the requirements of the SHAA policy.

 

Ø Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management.
